Christmas Parlor

After watching the movie Elf, I had to make white paper chain snowflake garland and hang it throughout our home. In my reading parlor, I put up a small frosted tree, with lots of sparkly ornaments. Since this picture was taken, I have added many more layers of shinning garland. I decorated the office with our family tree and more garland.

Christmas always gets me crafty.  I love my house at Christmas, I love all the sweet items, and lights.  Hope your Christmas makes you feel JOYFUL!

snowflakes and more

Putting away the Christmas decorations is a little sad. Inspired by the movie Elf, this year we filled the house with lots of paper chains and snowflakes. I am planning to do the same for Valentine's Day. Do something to brighten up your space.

Beading

Craft from the past -
Christmas has been put away, and the house seems dull and bare. Each room in my home was sprinkled with light. I love the way this beaded icicle sparkled on my little snowy tree. Beading is very fun and easy.

Create

People are natural creators. Each holiday I find time to create something that brings me happiness. Over the years I have made many ornaments for our tree. This past Christmas, I stitched up some little boats.
This was hand stitched with scrap fabric, embroidery floss, shiny thread, and wire. When winter's grip is mighty, find time to make something. Bring sparkle to a dreary day, and create. Everyone is an artist.
